1/7/22 GRACE HAS DECIDED TO TEACH CLASSES ONLINE FOR THE FIRST SESSIONS IN THE CATALOG AND RE-EVALUATE WHETHER TO CONTINUE ONLINE IN FEBRUARY.

ALL STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE A CONTACTLESS HEALTH SCREENING QUESTIONNAIRE AND HAVE THEIR TEMPERATURE TAKEN AS THEY ENTER THE BUILDING AND MUST WEAR A MASK TO PARTICIPATE, PER PUBLIC HEALTH REQUIREMENTS.

MONDAY CLASSES

YANG FORM
Tai Chi/Qigong – Yang Form
Class time is 1 hour and 30 minutes starting in January 2022
Class fee: $75-90 depending on number of class sessions
Material fee: 0

This class is recommended for experienced students who have completed the Part 1 and Part 2 Tai Chi/Qi Gong Sun Style Classes. This class includes Qi Gong Warm-ups, Concentration Practice, and instruction in the Yang 24 Form. Elements of this form have been included in numerous studies proving the efficacy of Tai Chi for health promotion and reduction of falls. Most students will take at least 18 months to learn the entire form. Students should be able to walk without assistive devices to take this class.

INTERMEDIATE TAI CHI/QIGONG
Class is 1 hour and 15 minutes
Class fee: $75
Materials fee: 0

Instruction includes Qigong Energy breathing exercises, Tai Chi for Arthritis Joint Warm Ups, Concentration Practice, and instruction in the movements 1-6 of the Tai Chi For Arthritis Form. The core movements of the Tai Chi for Arthritis form will be taught over 2-3 consecutive class series. Most students find benefit in repeating the course to integrate the movements into daily practice or to benefit from the support of group practice. Students should be able to walk without assistive devices to participate in this class. Beginners are warmly welcomed, no experience necessary.

Class time is 1 hour and 30 minutes

Tuesday 1/11-2/15/22 11-12:30 Six sessions $90 (this session will be taught online)
Tuesday 2/22-3/29/22 11-12:30 Six sessions $90
Tuesday 1/11-2/15/22 11-12:30 Six sessions $90 (no class 5/3)
Tuesday 5/31-6/28/22 11-12:30 Three sessions $45 (no class 6/7, 6/14)

Students should have taken the Tai Chi/Qi Gong Core and Extension Movements Classes and the Advanced Sun Style Form and the Yang Form to attend this class. This class includes Qi Gong Warm-ups, Concentration Practice, and instruction in the Sun 73 Form. TCA 1 & 2 and Yang Form will be part of the warm up practice for experienced students to maintain knowledge of these forms. The Sun 73 Form will take a minimum of 18 months to learn.
