Welcome!

Blooming Lotus Tai Chi offers classes and provides information about Tai Chi and Qi Gong in the greater Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Santa Clara County area.

We are trained in the rare Nam Hoa Temple style. All instructors have studied directly with, and are certified by Nam Hoa Temple Internal Arts Association Tai Chi Master Jim Scott-Behrends.

Some of our instructors have also trained in the internationally recognized Tai Chi for Health Programs.

See our schedule page for class information. Feel free to contact us by email or to contact individual instructors for questions about class content.

Grace is anticipating returning to in person teaching through the PEP Program in July. She has posted her schedule and course fees. Students must sign up through the Dominican Hospital PEP program. MAY 31, 2021 COVID-19 VACCINES ARE BEING GIVEN TO PEOPLE 12 and over, WE MUST REMAIN VIGILANT- WEAR A MASK WHEN INDOORS AWAY FROM YOUR HOME UNLESS WITH FULLY VACCINATED PEOPLE, WASH YOUR HANDS

For information about Covid-19 Vaccination availability and current activity guidelines the Santa Cruz County Health Department website is helpful. Follow public health recommendations to keep yourself and others safe. CDC guidelines for people who have received the vaccination are good to keep up to date on. While students understand the benefits of group practice during this time we need to keep ourselves healthy and safe. Tai Chi, Qigong and Concentration practice support mind-body balance which enhances the immune system. For those fully vaccinated you can now visit friends and loved ones without wearing a mask-such wonderful progress! Stay in contact with classmates and your instructors by email, or text. We are here to encourage each other.
