Blooming Lotus Tai Chi offers classes and provides information about Tai Chi and Qi Gong in the greater Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Santa Clara County area. See our schedule page for class information. All instructors have studied directly with, and are certified by Nam Hoa Temple Internal Arts Association Tai Chi Master Jim Scott-Behrends. Some of our instructors have also trained in the internationally recognized Tai Chi for Health Programs. All of the instructors on this website are fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19. September 18, 2025 Dominican Hospital PEP Classes open for fall registration Registration for PEP classes for fall 2025 is open. Grace Sanchez and Vivian Skripek are teaching classes through the PEP Program. September 23, 2025 Master Jim is on hiatus from on location classes but another option is available Tai Chi Master Jim Scott-Behrends is able to offer private or semiprivate lessons in his home. See his page for contact information. September 18, 2025 Covid vaccinations are now available Staying up to date on recommended vaccines is wise. If you are high risk masking indoors is highly recommended. For information about Covid-19 Vaccination availability and current activity guidelines the Santa Cruz County Health Department website is helpful. It is recommended that people over 65 receive updated boosters every 6 months. Follow public health recommendations to keep yourself and others safe.
